This service shall be invoked when the user wishes to log in to a client system outside the smartphone.
B-FY offers the possibility of omnichannel, with the customer's app being the access key to the customer's services external to the smartphone. This can be websites, TV, totems, etc. Only by incorporating an Open ID connector in the external client system, the user will be able to do a complete biometric verification process with the client app (and B-FY library) so that the external client system receives after a successful identification the user data, loading and displaying its associated services. The process is carried out entirely from the B-FY systems, i.e. the execution of the process would be as follows:
- User wants to identify himself/herself on a website AND on his/her computer
- User clicks on "identify with the app" on the website Y
- The Y web invokes the call to Open ID of B-FY
- The Y website is on standby.
- B-FY runs autonomously and displays a QR to the user on the computer screen.
- The user opens the client app and clicks on identify by QR.
- The user scans the QR with the client app.
- The client app invokes the library for QR identification.
- The identification process starts - The user is biometrically identified.
- The client web Y receives the data of the user identified by the Open ID standard.
- The Y website loads the personal profile of the identified user, using the user's telephone number or email address as the user's identification field.
With this process, the user can easily and securely identify himself in different environments. In this process, the client application only has to invoke the QR identification service. Once the user is biometrically identified on the device, the other processes necessary for the user information to reach the client systems external to the smartphone are executed directly by the B-FY system. Therefore, to be able to execute this service, the following must be invoked from the client:
- External device ID initiation - when the user is going to access a web service for example, the client has to invoke B-FY's Open ID services and standby. The client web will be on stand-by while B-FY verifies the user's identity. Once completed, the client system receives the user's data to perform the relevant actions, such as uploading personal data from a website, etc.
- - Identification initiation with client app - When the user wants to identify himself on an external device, he will press the corresponding button in the client app, which will invoke the library service. This mode can be invoked in two ways. This is because to start the process on an external device a QR must be scanned. Here we leave it up to the client whether he wants to show his own QR reader for aesthetic reasons, or invoke our services and let us do the scanning.
-
- Client's own QR reader - When the QR is read, the obtained code will be used to invoke the library, sending as argument the code itself. The library will start the process and the client app does not have to perform any further actions.
-
- Library QR reader - Can be invoked so that the process is fully executed by the library. In this case, by invoking the service, the client app is left waiting without executing any further actions.
These services complete the functionalities of the B-FY library for the client. The library has been designed to have the minimum impact on the integration with the client, avoiding complex integrations. To this end, there are points at which the library interacts directly with the app user, which is why a user support system is available to resolve any doubts or problems that may arise in the first instance for the user. The use of these user support services will depend on how the client wants the UX of its users, whether a support service can be provided by B-FY's own staff or introduced into the client's own customer service structure. But this is something that has to be detailed in the contracting process.
Finally, there is a library service to remove the user from the B-FY-customer identification system.
